There are literally thousands upon thousands of copyediting business out there on the web. Some of them are big name industry players, while others are smaller independent "freelance" editors, like EEES. But the one thing that will probably strike you straight away about EEES that's different to our competitors is our prices. Why is EEES so much cheaper than most other editing services and does this reflect the quality of the editing?

EEES editorial staff are all expatriates, originally from English-speaking countries, who are now resident in Malaysia. That means that their overheads and the cost-of-living is substantially less that that of most developed countries. As a consequence, EEES can afford to significantly undercut our international competitors. What we lose through our low prices, we make up for in the volume of our work.

So, does this impact on the quality of our editing? In a word, no. Unlike some of the established industry leaders in the copyediting world, we are unable to provide specialist editors. We cannot, for example, provide an editor with a background in particle physics to edit a particle physics paper. What we can provide is an experienced English copyeditor who will go through your paper with a fine-toothed comb to ensure that your paper meets the requirements of the journal publishers. That means looking at your spelling (American English versus British English), sentence structures, grammar, consistency of wording, publication style, etc.

Given our location, we primarily service Malaysian academics and researchers, helping them to publish their research in some of the world's leading ISI journals.
